Lynda Power | My Journey to Wellness.

My work brings together more than two decades of experience in integrative health and movement.

Twenty five years ago, while balancing a demanding career and family life, I became deeply interested in how stress, nutrition and lifestyle affect the body over time. What began as personal enquiry developed into four years of training as a College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) in London, with a special focus on nutrition and complementary therapies ncluding herbal medicine, iridology, ear acupressure, and Bach Flower Remedies..

After qualifying, I trained and practised as an ARCH colonic hydrotherapist, working alongside leading practitioners in the UK and running my own clinic. My work centred on digestive health, stress related conditions and female health. It was during this time that I saw clearly how closely connected the body’s systems are, and how often movement is overlooked in conversations about health.

Over time it became clear to me that strength, alignment and coordinated movement are fundamental to long term wellbeing. This led me to train extensively as a Pilates instructor. For the past seven years I have taught one to one Pilates from my home studio, alongside small group and community classes.

My training spans mat work, reformer and studio equipment. I continue to invest in ongoing professional development each year, refining my understanding of Pilates as a coherent and progressive system. What matters most is not the number of certifications, but the ability to integrate knowledge and apply it thoughtfully to the individual in front of me.

Element 8 reflects this integration. It brings together Pilates taught as a connected system with a broader understanding of health, including nutrition, gut health and naturopathic principles.

My aim is simple: to support people in building strength, resilience and confidence in their body, and in living healthier for longer.
