Formerly True Path Pilates, Element 8 Pilates reflects the evolution of my work and a broader integration of Pilates and health.
My name is Lynda Power and I teach Pilates as a connected system. Whether Reformer Pilates, the Pilates Chair, Spine Corrector, or mat-based (sometimes with an infusion of Barre for that extra cheekiness!), working with Element 8 helps you build strength, resilience and confidence in how your body moves.
Living healthier for longer starts today.
Welcome to Element 8 Pilates
Element 8 supports people who want to feel strong, capable and at ease in their body, now and over time.
Pilates is taught as a coherent and progressive system, informed by breath, anatomy and how the body adapts to load, stress and change. Rather than focusing on formats or intensity, the emphasis is on clarity, continuity and meaningful progression.
Alongside movement, Element 8 draws on training in nutrition, gut health and naturopathic practice to offer an integrated health perspective. This recognises that how you move, fuel, rest and recover are closely connected, particularly during periods of physical or hormonal change.
The aim is simple: to support strength and resilience in a way that makes sense for your body and your life.
A Practical, Considered Approach to Pilates & Health
Why Pilates Supports Your Body Over Time
Pilates supports the body in ways that become increasingly important as life evolves.
Beyond strength and flexibility, it develops stability, coordination and control, helping you adapt to physical transitions, train more efficiently and reduce unnecessary strain in everyday life and exercise.
If you are ready to build strength with clarity and confidence, now is the time to begin.
-
Pilates develops the deep muscles that support the pelvis and spine, strengthening the body from within.
Coordinated movement and breath build stability that supports confidence in daily life, exercise and hormonal transition. Strength is integrated into whole body movement rather than isolated.
-
Balanced strength and mobility allow the body to organise itself with less strain. Pilates refines alignment awareness and muscular control, helping you move more efficiently and reduce unnecessary tension in both everyday activity and training.
-
Imbalance often underlies persistent discomfort. Pilates improves joint control and muscular support, encouraging more efficient movement patterns. Over time, this builds durability and confidence in how your body performs.
-
By improving coordination, stability and muscular balance, Pilates strengthens the foundations of all movement. This supports more efficient training, better recovery and reduced injury risk without adding unnecessary load.
-
Hormonal change can influence muscle, recovery and joint stability. Structured, progressive Pilates supports bone health, balance and muscular resilience while remaining adaptable to shifts in energy and stress.
Why Element 8 Pilates?
Structured and Progressive
Pilates is taught as a coherent system, with each session building intentionally on the last. This creates clarity, continuity and meaningful progression rather than isolated workouts.
Flexible Ways to Work
Sessions are available in person and online, allowing you to maintain consistency even when life is busy. The structure remains the same, whether you work one to one or in a small group.
Personalised and Adaptive
Guidance is provided throughout so you can work appropriately for your body, experience and stage of life. Progression is adjusted to support change rather than push through it.
Strength That Lasts
The aim is not intensity for its own sake, but durable strength, resilience and confidence in movement that supports you over time.
